I've talked about wanting to learn how to fly an airplane, but there's actually one type of plane I can already glide across the sky-- the kind with wings made of paper. While folding a paper plane takes some skill, sending a well-made one soaring across a room requires little or no training. The flights may not always be long nor the landings always pretty, but watching the thin paper momentarily suspended in air always seems just a bit magical.

Now Boarding
I am completely taken with these vintage airplane boarding passes and luggage tags found at Great Scott Vintage. I love the colors, the fonts, and that they appear to be interesting and unique reminders of the companies they represented, indications of a different era in passenger flight and a stark contrast to the often bland bar-coded or print-at-home boarding passes of today.

Let's Dance
The ballerina inside me, although now dormant for many years, is still enamored with all things ballet, including these skirts that echo of tights and toe shoes.
I rather wish this toddler-sized skirt, by Dove Tree, came in an adult version!

At Home with Blue & White
In E's and my home, I found myself selecting green as an accent color in many of the rooms, but my mom has always been a blue and white lady. Perhaps because it reminds me of her and of home, I find myself drawn to and comforted by rooms that utilize blue and white in their color schemes.
More and more, I consider incorporating this palette in our next house, and if I were to do so, all of the following options are items I could use to introduce the color combination into a room.

Beyond the Sea
I've been completely infatuated with the color palette of seafoam mixed with hints of gold and champagne in recent months, and these images by Amy Neunsinger capture the beauty of this scheme perfectly.

Simply staring at this colorway seems refreshing, leading me to believe the palette is ideally suited for summer fashion!

Not surprisingly, as the popularity of seafoam reaches back to previous decades, there are a number of pieces available in this shade through the vintage shops on Etsy.

Stay tuned because there is still more seafoam and gold to come!

A Horse is A Horse, Of Course, Of Course
My mom has a special place for horses in her heart; she grew up riding and had her own horse until shortly before she and my dad married. In the years since, she has continued to ride off and on, and her love of horses still runs strong.
My mom dreams of having horses again complete with a ranch and acres of land. So, for the time being, until she gets that ranch, the following horses are all ones my mom could bring home. They might not be a substitute for the real thing, but they'd make for a fun addition to a home all the same.
