Bertoia, oh Bertoia...

The Bertoia Side Chair has been on my mind a lot lately; my friend and client has been enamored with this chair for a while, and as we have been planning for new chairs in her kitchen, naturally, we keep coming back to the Bertoia. I love the chair too for its modern classic appeal and chameleon-like ability to suit any environment where it is placed.

I know this image has been all around the blogosphere as of late, but obviously with just cause; I can't begin to tell you how head-over-heels I am for this space!

I'm not sure how it is already Friday again, and while my weekend will involve some work, I am hoping to find some time to unwind and I plan to enjoy the last few days of the Olympics too! Whatever you are up to this weekend, I hope you have a great one!

That last kitchen is gorgeous! I love the island. I really like Bertoia chairs, too. They're a definite classic. I hope you'll share pics of your project once it is completed. :)

The diamond shaped bertoia chair has been on my wish list for years, thanks for reminding me. You'll know I've reached the pinnacle of success when I announce I own one!

i have to say.... i never quite noticed this chair before. now... slightly obsessed after seeing how, yes, it does work in a multitude of setttings. is it comfy? this could be the answer to what chairs to put around our farmhouse table in the new dining room (next phase after the kitchen reno). i want a comfy/relaxed space.

enjoy your weekend, courtney.

What I love most about these chairs is how well they work with just about anything else: they're true workhorses. I absolutely love that giant pendant above the island in your last picture. Such a statement!
