Now Boarding

I am completely taken with these vintage airplane boarding passes and luggage tags found at Great Scott Vintage. I love the colors, the fonts, and that they appear to be interesting and unique reminders of the companies they represented, indications of a different era in passenger flight and a stark contrast to the often bland bar-coded or print-at-home boarding passes of today.

Here, here, and here.

They are fun and they sure do remind me that travel is not what it used to be.....xv

This is cool. I never would have thought of collecting these but it is a great idea.

Wow... what could we do with those beautiful things? They'd make a spectacular collage in vintage mismatched frames, or beautiful on the front of correspondence cards, if you could bear to part with them. Really, though, if they were mind, I'd just keep them in a big envelope tied with string and browse through them now and again. Great find!

I love these! How adorable would these be as name place cards? These would be a perfect little detail to a travel-themed wedding.

These are adorable. My younger cousin had boarding-pass style escort cards at her worldy-themed Bat Mitzvah: it made a great addition to the photo album.
