Heavy Metal

We've looked at industrial interiors (here and here) and furnishings, but we haven't yet looked at how this style manifests itself in fashion, specifically in jewelry.

While some of these pieces of are harder-edged than others, they all have an industrial look, drawn, it appears, from the chains of machinery. These chains are undoubtedly prettier and more delicate in their final presentation, however, than those on which they were modeled.

I love the ones from Alexis Bittar and Twinkle living. I love how well you stay with themes. I am too all over the place with my blog. I think I need more structure:)

Have a great weekend!

I have the matching bracelet to the Alexis Bittar piece. It's a triple strand bracelet and it has three gemstones set into the links. Not sure what stones anymore, but it's beautiful. My FIL bought it for me last Christmas and I get compliments on it each time I wear it.

Of COURSE I love the most expensive ones the best. I am cursed with the fate of champagne taste on a Diet Coke budget (and yes, I know the saying is about a beer budget, but I'm not even THAT well off ;)

Have a gorge weekend m'dear! I'm off to the city and perhaps I'll stop into Forever 21 and drown my sorrows in cheap bling...

Ok, so someone mentioned all three of my favorites- the Twinkle Living, the Alexis Bittar, and the Hello Betty!

Blair- I love your blog as it is! And I don't always stay on themes for so long- just recently I have a bit more often.

Kate- Oh, I know that bracelet, and it is lovely! I would compliment you if I saw you wearing it.

Anne- Oh, ha! You are preaching to the choir! And isn't cheap bling better than no bling at all (well, maybe not all cheap bling...)

Tina- Yes, the color, the shape, the links- they all do it for me too!

Alissa- That piece was the one that inspired the whole post! I love it!

Pamela- I'm glad you liked the wedding photos too; they just make me happy!

exactly the type of necklace I was just thinking I needed. A quick trip to H&M was even on my lunchtime errand list!
