The Teal Deal

There are certain colors that command attention whether they're used in large or small doses, and teal is one of those shades that makes a big impact on a space no matter how much or how little it is used in a room.

While I may fall more along the lines of teal in moderation when considering my own space, I do love the boldness of selecting this hue as a wall color as seen in the first two rooms. What are your thoughts on living with teal? If you were to select this color would you use a lot or a little?

  1. I love teal, as does Dave. In fact, we painted his study "slate teal" (from BM) and I love the moodiness the gray undertones bring to the color -- makes it a bit more sophisticated and masculine.

  3. Teal is just a little slice of heaven, isn't it? When I first saw the photo of the bedroom above, I immediately thought I'd love to do that in my room. Hmmm. Hope you're having a wonderful Monday Courtney!

  4. Oh I love teal!! It does add such fun to a room. You picked one of my favourite nurseries as an example. I love the use of it with yellow. It could work for little boys or girls i think.

  6. I was wondering if you were ever going to talk to me. Love UAPM. I really really do! Some bloggers just don't talk, I was hoping you weren't one of them. I love the teal shades here, but I think I would only want them for the summer season, and ain't no way The Captain would switch them out each season. On the coast, this color is always prevalent, but I'm really liking the richness of this year's aquas and turquoises, rather than just teal.

  8. OMG, that photo with the cross, SO cool! I'm not super religious or anything, that just looks amazing! I have been all about the turquoise lately, there's just nowhere in our home to put it, so I just love seeing photos! Lovely little blog, I'm a new follower!

  9. we had teal walls in our atlanta townhome. lighter teal in the living room and then a stronger teal accent wall that stretched from the lr into and including the open dining room. i loved it! it seems to pair well with so many other colors.

  12. My living room walls are DARK teal, so I guess I like to live with a lot of it? It goes great with orange and red, and it let me go lighter with my couch and chairs which I liked...
