I loved the short and thin cotton twill handle on the box, which I would slide around my wrist as proudly as if it were the fanciest of handbags. Looking back, it was probably my first love affair with packaging!
Lately, I've had a hankering for these animal crackers. I wonder if you can imagine what led me to this craving...
No, it's not this song, but watch this clip and try not to smile!
I LOVE animal crackers and always still bring them in the plane with me:)
ReplyDeleteAlso, loved your comment about the verification words yesterday--laughed so hard. Those words are always so silly and sadly I need to typically spell them twice before I get it right!
I love her singing this song ... brightened my day.
ReplyDeleteI agree ... and I think when we were kids, there were fewer kid-only things available, so that made a box of animal crackers even more special.
Love that song...
ReplyDeleteI craved weird things when I was pregnant...
Oh yum those are one of my favs too - ohh the frosting ones even better!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites!! And they always put them right up near the check-out lane. Rats.
ReplyDeleteI love animal crackers!
ReplyDeleteI love her singing that song! I had that recording on my computer all through college - and drove my friends craaaazy
ReplyDeleteHow darling is she singing that song???
ReplyDeleteI love that the Animal Cracker packaging has not succumbed to change, in this ever changing world of ours!

ReplyDeleteI was looking for a picture of Barnum's Animal Crackers and I came across your blog.
ReplyDeleteGood choice on animal crackers by the way. Barnum's are the best. As you can tell, I currently have a hankering for them.
